Recipe – Margarita with Casamigos Blanco Tequila

Tequila is often consumed as a shooter but it works well in a wide variety of cocktails. The most common cocktail made with tequila is the infamous Margarita!

Combining the tang of the lime juice, the sweetness of the orange juice, and the distinct and strong taste of tequila, the classic Margarita has something to offer everyone. When choosing your tequila, keeping the quality in mind is essential. You should use a blanco made from 100% blue agave. Lime Liquor recommends Casamigos Tequila Blanco for the job. Casamigos’ agaves are 100% Blue Weber and aged 7-9 years. The slow cooking and fermentation processes creates a fuller and more robust bodied tequila.

Asides from using a good quality tequila, it is also important to use the most fresh ingredients! When making margaritas, many reach for premade sour mix. However, using freshly squeezed lime juice results in a vastly superior and delicious drink.

Recipe:
1. Wet 1/2 the rim of a rocks glass with a lime wheel or wedge, then dip into the salt mixture.
2. Combine all ingredients into a tin shaker.
3. Add ice, shake vigorously, and strain into the prepared glass.
4. Add fresh ice and garnish.
