Lime Liquor Shipping Policy

Order Processing and Shipping Times

Lime Liquor usually processes orders within a day or two. Delivery time will be dependent on your location and the reach of our courier partners. The estimated time for orders are as follows:

  1. Free In-Store Pick Up *
    • Please allow 1 – 5 business days 
  2. Delivery Within Calgary *
    • Please allow 1 – 5 business days
  3. Delivery Within Canada *
    • Please allow 3 – 14 business days

* Estimated time for orders can vary and could be more than the estimated number of days mentioned above depending on product availability. Please contact us directly to confirm product availability in cases where items are required by a specific date due to delays in inventory updates on our website (sometimes products may show as ‘in stock’ on the website. However, due to delays in inventory updates they may be ‘out of stock.’

Shipping Policy

Deliveries are based on your location and accessibility and will be fulfilled by one of the following: 

  • Lime Liquor Wine & Spirits Ltd. within the City of Calgary limits and area
  • Trexity within the City of Calgary limits 
  • Canada Post for all other address within Canada

Please note that once we hand off the products to a third party courier we are not able to cover the products for any losses or damages that may occur while being shipped to you. You also have the option of using your own shipping partner. However, you will be fully responsible for your products once we hand them over to the shipper. For products shipped through Canada Post, you will receive a tracking number and you will be able to track your package online through Canada Post. Similarly, the orders within the City limits will be tracked at the Trexity Website.

To receive products, an adult (18 years or older) will need to show proof of ID. Furthermore, to ensure that a personal hand-off of the product occurs at delivery, the delivery agent will record the name and the signature of the person receiving the products. If there is no answer at the door or if an adult is not present to receive the products, the delivery agent will leave a Delivery Notice Card in the addressee’s mail receptacle that directs the addressee to the designated post office to pick up the products. Products cannot be left unattended or at door steps. For the above reason, Lime Liquor recommends shipping to business addresses. Also, please note we cannot ship to PO BOX addresses or to any addresses that Canada Post cannot deliver by land and Lime Liquor will not be responsible for products lost and/or shipping costs or if products are not delivered in such cases.  

For deliveries outside of Alberta, you authorize Lime Liquor to engage our preferred shipper to pick up your order from our store and deliver as per your instructions. It is your/customer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with any applicable laws of the location the delivery agent will deliver your products. Furthermore, Lime Liquor will not be held liable for any breach of laws nor held responsible for any costs (including but not limited to additional tariffs or taxes imposed by local authorities of parcel destination or loss of products due to interprovincial prohibitive laws) associated with shipping products outside of Alberta. 

At times, to ensure integrity of the products, Lime Liquor may opt to use temperature controlled vehicles to ship your products. It will be up to Lime Liquor’s discretion to adjust shipping timing to ensure products are successfully delivered without compromising their properties such as taste and color, especially during times of extreme weather conditions. 

Breakage, Damaged or Lost Products

 Lime Liquor prides itself in ensuring all the necessary precautions are taken for successful and safe deliveries. We ensure products are properly packaged and labeled to highlight the fragile nature of the products. However, there is always risk associated with shipping fragile products. Once we hand off the products to a third party courier we are not able to cover the products for any losses or damages that may occur while being shipped to you. 

We currently have an option for you to purchase route/shipping protection for a fee when placing an order. This protection is being provided by a third party and the liability will be limited to the third party’s policies. In case of any claims, you will be required to contact the third party directly, Lime Liquor will not be facilitating the claims or be responsible for any outcomes of the claims.
