Availability: In StockRey Sol is a spectacular extra añejo Tequila from San Matias, made with agave plants that have aged for 7 to 10 years before being harvested. The Tequila itself is matured for 6 years, and presented in decanters designed by Mexican artist Sergio Bustamante. The bottle is shaped like the sun, complete with a rather cheerful face, an admirable moustache and a bow tie. What’s not to like here?
Appearance
It has an intense amber bright color with orange intense copper highlights.
Aroma
The aroma is of oak, chocolate, vanilla, hazelnut, roasted almonds, and dried fruit.
Taste
The first taste is sweet with dominant oak notes. Then, it leaves a long lasting flavor of chocolate and almond.
Food-pairing
To be served in a Riedel glass for fine dining. Pair it with red meats and as a great accompaniment to be enjoyed with dessert and coffee.
