Description
Established in 1743 by Claude Moet in Epernay, Champagne, Moet & Chandon is renowned for its luxury and innovation. Credited with producing the first vintage Champagne in 1840, it has since become the world’s largest Champagne house, crafting nearly 30 million bottles annually. As part of Louis Vuitton Moët-Hennessy, Moët & Chandon epitomizes opulence, also producing Dom Perignon Champagne and Hennessy Cognac. With a rich history, Moët & Chandon holds a special place in the hearts of many, notably chosen as the Champagne of choice at Charles and Diana’s 1981 wedding.
Beyond its prestigious image, Moët & Chandon boasts extensive vineyard holdings, with 1,150 hectares spread across prime locations in Champagne. These vineyards, featuring both grands and premiers crus, span diverse terroirs in Montagne de Reims, Côte des Blancs, Vallée de la Marne, Sézanne, and Aube. This vast array ensures a meticulous grape selection, allowing the house to maintain the consistency of Moët Impérial and craft exceptional vintage Champagnes with distinctive character and quality.
