The soil, characterized by classic white sand over clay, coupled with its cooler elevation, facilitates the gradual maturation of grapes. Originating from cuttings off the renowned Kay Brother’s Block Six, famed for its 110-year-old vines, Dave’s Block transitioned into the Single Vineyard Series in 2014. Formerly a component of McLaren Vale for Ares, it now stands as a testament to McLaren Vale's distinctiveness within the Barossa Valley fruit.
