The Macallan Sherry Oak 12 Year Old 110 Proof is a bold and concentrated expression of The Macallan’s signature sherry-seasoned oak character. Matured for 12 years exclusively in sherry-seasoned oak casks at the Easter Elchies Estate in Speyside, it is bottled at 110 proof, giving the whisky greater intensity and depth than the standard 12 Year Old. The rich profile opens with sticky dates, cherry compote, cinnamon, cacao nibs, and dried orange, creating an immediately luxurious impression.

The palate is full-bodied and velvety, bringing together rich oak, sultanas, stem ginger, star anise, mandarin, and dark chocolate-coated espresso notes. A long, warming finish develops layers of treacle toffee, mocha, sweet cinnamon, and lingering oak spice. Enjoy it neat or with a small amount of water to explore its complexity, or over a large ice sphere for a more relaxed serve. With its higher proof, rich sherry character, and distinctive Macallan profile, this is an excellent choice for serious Scotch enthusiasts, special occasions, or collectors looking for a more powerful interpretation of the classic Sherry Oak style.
