La Chouffe is a Belgian beer produced by the brewery Brasserie d'Achouffe, which is now part of the Duvel Moortgat Brewery. Duvel Moortgat acquired Brasserie d'Achouffe in 2006. La Chouffe is known for its distinctive gnome mascot on the label and its unique, flavorful beers. The flagship beer of La Chouffe is simply called "La Chouffe," and it is a Belgian Strong Pale Ale. It is characterized by its fruity and spicy notes, a slightly sweet maltiness, and a noticeable but not overpowering hop bitterness. The use of coriander and a special yeast strain contributes to its complex flavor profile.
