Krug Grande Cuvée 172ème Édition is a luxurious non-vintage Champagne that blends 146 wines from 11 different years. Notably, the youngest wine is from 2016, while the oldest dates back to 1998. As a result, this careful mix creates a Champagne with exceptional richness and harmony.
On the nose, you will first notice blooming flowers, followed by ripe and dried citrus, marzipan, and gingerbread. Then, the palate reveals flavors of hazelnut, nougat, barley sugar, citrus jelly, almonds, brioche, and honey. Together, these notes form a full-bodied and elegant experience.
The blend consists of 44% Pinot Noir, 36% Chardonnay, and 20% Pinot Meunier. In addition, 42% of the wines are reserve wines, which ensures both complexity and consistency.
For the best experience, serve between 9°C and 12°C. Moreover, it pairs beautifully with aged Parmesan, Jabugo ham, oysters, grilled shrimp, Indian or Moroccan dishes, and desserts such as carrot cake, tarte Tatin, or cheesecake.
Krug Grande Cuvée 172ème Édition represents the House of Krug’s dedication to excellence, offering a Champagne that is both timeless and luxurious.
