A beautifully balanced Speyside single malt, Benriach The Sixteen is a revival of a beloved expression, matured for 16 years in a harmonious trio of bourbon, sherry, and virgin oak casks. This aging process infuses the whisky with layers of sun-ripened orchard fruit, creamy malt, and warming spices, all wrapped in a delicate oak influence.
Expect a nose of baked apricots, honeycomb, and subtle toasted oak, followed by a palate rich in stone fruit, vanilla custard, and a gentle spice lift. The finish is smooth, warming, and long-lasting, making it a superb dram for both seasoned whisky lovers and curious newcomers.
